The Ferocactus Robustus, also known as the clumping barrel, is a small clumping barrel cactus, which forms entire colonies of clumps. Interestingly, Ferocactus Robustus is unlike any of the other members of this species. It seems that the clumps are not part of the original root system, but are instead seedlings that have taken root around the parent plant.
 
Note that when watered, avoid wetting the body of the cactus while in sunlight. A wet cactus in direct sun is prone to scarring, or even fungal infection or death.
